Meet Matt
Supervisor McCoy is running re-election to Polk County Supervisor District 1. This district includes southwest Des Moines, West Des Moines and Clive in Polk County as well as Windsor Heights. Matt is currently serving his second term as a county supervisor and previously served six terms in the Iowa Senate and two terms in the Iowa House.
A native south-sider, Matt grew up working at his family's small business, Seller's Hardware. After graduating from Dowling High School, he earned a BA degree from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa. Matt has one son, Jack, who attends the University of Iowa and is a member of Plymouth Congregational Church.
